Currently, more than 2.7 million Californians have lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 government lockdown of workers and businesses.

\”California women, no matter what their ideology, deserve a better voice in the Assembly than Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez,\” said Suzette Valladares, candidate for Assembly District 38.

The Tesla manufacturing plant in Fremont employs over 10,000 Californians but shut down March 23.

\”It\’s time for Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon to admonish Assemblywoman Gonzalez for this disgusting and crass Twitter post,\” Valladares said. \”Those in the California Legislature ought to be working as hard as they can to get people working in a safe and responsible manner as quickly as they can, not throwing a tantrum on Twitter. That does nothing to help Californians pay their bills or put food on their table, let alone support our workers.”

Assemblywoman Gonzalez is best known for her legislation, Assembly Bill 5, which takes workplace choices away from freelance and independent workers.
