SD 23 candidate Kipp Mueller calls himself a “former prosecutor” in campaign ads and says he’s “prosecuted” crimes. But, according to a breaking investigative report by RedState, “Mueller was never employed by the U.S. Department of Justice or the Santa Clara District Attorney’s office, and we’ve found no evidence he prosecuted fraudsters and sexual abusers,” as he claims.
RedState also cites a “July 2015 Sacramento Bee article, about a company Mueller started with a friend, reported that Mueller had completed a clerkship there [at the Santa Clara DA’s office]”—a clerkship, not as a prosecutor.
