Non-Profit Childcare Provider, Mother, and State Assembly Candidate Asks First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom To Advocate Against Zero Dollar Bail

Santa Clarita, CA – Last Friday, non-profit childcare provider, mother, and Republican candidate for the 38th Assembly District Suzette Valladares sent a letter to First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom asking for her partnership in opposing the Zero Dollar Bail mandate order that was put in effect April 13. In the letter, Valladares wrote First Partner Newsom:

\”Like you, I am a mother and a Californian. I also operate a non-profit childcare facility. I am compelled to speak up for the innocent children who are victims of child abuse—victims who are often without a voice and cannot speak for themselves. It is for these children that I strongly urge you to advocate the rescinding of the Zero Dollar Bail Emergency Mandate as it applies to violent criminals, which includes those who have been convicted of felony crimes against children.\”
