Republican Suzette Martinez Valladares Announces Run for California’s 25th Congressional District.
Suzette Martinez Valladares announced today that she is running in California’s 25th Congressional District in the March 3, 2020 primary. Valladares is a small business owner, early childhood education advocate, veteran of Republican politics, wife and mother. After the birth of her daughter Charlotte and losing her mother to pancreatic cancer, Valladares felt a greater calling to public service.
“I’m running for Congress because the 25th Congressional District needs a conservative voice who will focus on the issues our neighbors care most about,” said Valladares. Valladares continued, “We need a representative in Washington who will work to fix our broken immigration system, fight for access to affordable and quality healthcare, and always look to reduce regulations so that our small businesses can thrive. As a Hispanic-American, healthcare advocate, and a small business owner, I have the skills and passion to make a difference for the communities I love.” Valladares finished with, “I’m ready for a spirited debate on the conservative values that matter most, and I hope to earn your vote before the March 3rd primary.”
Suzette is CEO of Little Steps of Faith, a faith-based non-profit that provides childcare and quality preschool to families in LA County. Her interest in Republican politics began in high school when Vice-President Al Gore visited a nearby school and inspired her to be a conservative. She would then go on to earn an AA in Social Science from College of the Canyons in Valencia while working full-time at Magic Mountain, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Cal State Northridge and work for Congressman Buck McKeon, where she served as a District Representative.
Suzette, and her husband Shane, call their 11 acres in Acton home. They were blessed with their first child, daughter Charlotte, in April 2017.
