(Los Angeles) – The Valladares for Assembly campaign today announced an endorsement from the California Association of Highway Patrolmen (CAHP).
“Both the active and retired members of the CAHP are sincerely appreciative of having the opportunity to work with you on issues affecting law enforcement, the California High Patrol and the citizens of California. Through your actions, you have demonstrated a real concern for the safety of the public and the members of our Association,” the CAHP leadership, including President Rick Labeske, PAC Chair Sgt. Jim O’Rourke, Chief Executive Officer Carrie Lane and Legislative Advocate Aaron Read, said in a letter announcing the endorsement.
Assemblywoman Valladares’ record in making public safety a top priority has also earned her the endorsements from the California Correctional Peace Officers Association (CCPOA), the Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs (ALADS), the California Coalition of Law Enforcement Associations (CCLEA), and the Los Angeles Police Protective League (LAPPL).
“As a mom, I want my daughter to feel safe riding her bike through the neighborhood or playing outside with her friends. As a legislator, I am infuriated by the pro-criminal policies being enacted that are letting violent criminals out of jail early just to commit further violence on our streets,” said Assemblywoman Valladares. “I am proud of the overwhelming support I am receiving from law enforcement in this election, and when re-elected, will continue to fight for enhanced public safety every single day.”
