(Glendale) – Assemblywoman Suzette Martinez Valladares, running for re-election to the State Assembly in the newly drawn District 40, today announced she has received the endorsement of the Armenian National Committee of America – Western Region (ANCA-WR.)
“I stand with the Armenian community in recognizing their triumph over tyranny, their will to flourish in this country, their rich history, and contributions to the United States and California,” said Assemblywoman Valladares. “I am honored to receive this important endorsement and will continue to fight for and recognize the issues important to the Armenian community. This week, while we commemorate the 107th anniversary of the horrific genocide of 1.5 million Armenian women, men, and children, I’m proud Armenians chose our country to raise their families, continue their traditions, and be free.”
“Over the years we have closely tracked the performance of every incumbent legislator across a broad array of pro-Armenian legislative metrics,” said Nora Hovespian, Esq., Chair of the ANCA-WR Board of Directors said in her letter to Assemblywoman Valladares. “In light of your track record on ANCA-backed pro-Armenia and Artsakh initiatives, and after consulting with the ANCA-North San Fernando Valley Chapter, I am pleased to report that the ANCA-WR has decided to endorse your candidacy for California Assembly in the 2022 Primary Election.”
