(Santa Clarita) – The campaign to re-elect Assemblywoman Suzette Valladares to the newly re-drawn 40th Assembly District today announced the endorsement from two key local school leadership officials.
“From Day 1, I have fought for quality education for our students. As an educator and a mom, I know that ensuring our kids have access to the best education must be a top priority.,” said Assemblywoman Valladares. “We must do a better job. California’s education system is broken, and our kids are paying the price. We must do more to address the systematic failure of education in California. I will continue to fight at the capitol for the reforms so desperately needed for our students.”
Today’s endorsements include Bob Jensen, School Board Member, William S. Hart Union High School District and Matt Watson, Trustee Sangus Union School District.
“As a governing board member of the William S. Hart Union High School District, I am very appreciative of Suzette’s tireless commitment to all the students in our school district. She is very dedicated to ensuring that the highest quality of education is provided to every student in the Santa Clarita Valley,” said Bob Jensen, Governing Board Member of William S. Hart Union High School District. “Thank you, Suzette, for being a champion of education!”

Suzette is a tireless advocate for our community. She is a compassionate listener of her constituents’ input and needs, a strong voice for providing high quality educational opportunities for all families, and a strong supporter of the rights of victims of violent crime while working to protect us all from such harm,” said Matt Watson, Trustee, Sangus Union School District. “As a 40-year resident of Santa Clarita, a 27-year veteran teacher, an advocate for small businesses, and a citizen who strives to keep our community one of the safest and most prosperous in the country, it is my honor to support Suzette Valladares for the California Assembly.”
